At the outset, Amber recommends that most people experiencing distress start to practice a self-awareness technique such as mindfulness meditation, yoga, or tai chi, or enjoy other focused activities regularly like walking, golf or creative pastimes. These activities form part of the treatment to begin to calm the thinking, in order to regulate emotions more effectively, for you to get to know your own mind, your inner self and manage your mood better.
